It was a relief for the people of Umunankanu and Umueze -1 , both in Ehime Mbano local government area, as a team of medical experts from Michael Asawalam Foundation visit the two communities.
Michael Asawalam foundation in practical pursuit of its core goals, prioritize delivery of health care services to the sorundiing communities where they operate.
It will be gainful to say, that Michael Asawalam foundation has embarked on numerous health care cum medical outreach within Imo State. Ranging from Umunomo, Umualumaku both in Ehime Mbano, Mgbedi, in Oru East local government area, Nekede, in owerri west local government area, only to mention but a few.
Considering the present hash economic situation in Nigeria, where too many families finds it very difficult to provide food for their household, health care and medical provisions has turned to be a burden. The Michael Asawalam foundation steps in at Umueze -1 and Umunankanu communities to bridge the gap by providing succour to the people.
The foundation witnessed a massive turn out of sick and deficient persons, but the medical team where equal to the task. There was a free health check, dispensary of drugs according to doctors prescriptions , free health education and free eye glasses after a touror examination. Drugs and eye glasses that worth millions of naira was shared among the participants.
The participants were so excited about the gesture and many confessed that they have not seen such height of magnimity in their various communities before.
The outreach took an august dimension as the Executive Director of the foundation Chief Michael Asawalam was present from the beginning till the end.
